“To me this youth theatre is just as it should be; fun,
engaging, focused and full of enthusiasm”
Play Magazine

Norwich Young Peoples Theatre provides a range of theatre, music and movement classes that are designed to inspire and develop the creativity of young people (aged 5-25yrs)

Students can take part in one or more classes that give them a range of skills which are valuable both on and off stage. Classes start with a basic introduction to the elements of performance and gradually progress to the more advanced techniques. Through this work students will learn to become more confident, more self-aware and better performers.

Students of all ages are given the opportunity to perform their work throughout the year, with older students taking work to a number of well-known venues.

Classes are run by our professional tutors who continue to work in all areas of theatre themselves. Their variety of experience allows NYPT to offer a diverse high quality arts programme.

A number of our students, wanting to make a career in the theatre, aspire to go on to study at Drama School or University. We are often approached with opportunities for students to take part in local and national theatre, television and film productions.

In addition to our weekend acting classes we also provide specialist classes, such as singing, movement, acting examinations and senior acting skills. During the school holidays we also run a variety of workshop, theatre schools and trips for young people.

NYPT is fully accessible to students will specific requirements. Please contact us to discuss your particular needs.
